This 2018-2019 school year will be my fourth year at Hopewell; however, this will be my sixth year teaching in a public school setting. I previously taught in Del Valle before coming to Round Rock. I have taught informally and formally ranging from elementary to undergraduate levels. I am currently studying to get certified in Computer Science through Region 13 and UT's We_Teach CS grant. I graduated with a Master’s in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University. I hope to resume my doctoral studies on meta-cognitive learning processes incorporating PBL and innovative practices with a global focus considering equity challenges. I am especially excited for this school year because 8th grade science classes at Hopewell will be participating in our 2nd year of Argument Driven Engineering in close relationship with UT! Our class is also going into our 3rd year as a Next Gen Digital Classroom. I will have five on-level classes and one TAG classes. I am very committed to providing the best possible school experience. It is going to be a great year! I LOVE ........ Nature, reading, kayaking, learning, travelling, cooking, drinking tea, reading, and helping others. |
